BSA Troop 565

Troop 565 was chartered in February 1993, and is hosted by Lord of Love Lutheran Church, 10405 Fort Street, Omaha, Nebraska.

Our purpose is to promote citizenship, develop character, increase physical/mental fitness and provide moral and religious leadership to the boys entrusted to us.

Troop meetings are held on Thursday nights, at the Church, beginning at 7:00 PM. Troop meetings use the patrol method to provide programs on Scouting skills, merit badges, teamwork and fun.

Outdoor camping is the method Scouting uses to develop individual skills, confidence and leadership. Camp outs are generally scheduled each month. These include summer camps at Camp Cedars in Fremont, Nebraska, and for older Scouts, high adventure summer camps that are held out of state.

We ask that each parent participate in the Troop in some way. For many, this includes service as an Assistant Scoutmaster, merit badge counselor or as a member of one of the Troop’s committees.

To learn more about our Troop or becoming a Boy Scout please contact any of the Troop Leaders or Committee Members or send an email to troop565scoutmaster@gmail.com
