Stuff A Truck

StuffATruckLike Jesus fed the 5.000 with fish and loaves of bread, the “Stuff a Truck” Adopta A HyVee event uses paper sacks to accomplish the goal of feeding 5,000 people in need in Omaha. Heartland Hope is a faith-based 501(c)3 charitable organization founded to provide the basic necessities and services to help the working poor get back on their feet. The providing food and clothing for people in need and promote self-sufficiency.

 

 

Lord of Love’s mission as part of this event:
– supply 4 people for each shift at HyVee 108th and Fort
– work with a Heartland Hope Mission ambassador during each shift
– ask HyVee shoppers to buy a $5 or $10 bag of food to help a family in need
A table or booth will be set-up inside the main entrance of HyVee.
We will hand out HyVee grocery sacks to willing customers.
HyVee cashier’s will collect the money at check-out time.
HyVee will deliver food to Heartland Hope Mission for distribution at Thanksgiving.

The event runs from Thursday thru Sunday at HyVee at 108th and Fort.
Other sponsoring churches will have similar events at other stores at this same time.
Volunteers are needed for 2 1/2 hour shifts.

Thursday, August 18 – 5:30PM to 8:00PM
Friday, August 19 – 4:30PM to 7:00PM
Saturday, August 20 – 10:30AM to 1:00PM; 1:00PM to 3:30PM; 3:30PM to 6:00PM
Sunday, August 21 – 10:30AM to 1:00PM; 1:00PM to 3:30PM; 3:30PM to 6:00PM
