Midweek Lenten Services begin with a traditional Ash Wednesday Worship Service.

Wednesdays, February 21 thru March 21
Soup supper starting at 5:30pm
Free will mission donation for the supper supports our Lenten mission projects concerning hunger.  Purchase of a farm of animals through ELCA Good Gifts and financial support for Food Bank of the Heartland.
Midweek Lenten Worship Service at 7pm
During these 5 weeks we explore what it means to be an ELCA, Lutheran Christian and some of the theological and ethical values of our tradition.  Each week we review one of the five “solas” of the Reformation; Word Alone, Faith Alone, Christ Alone, Glory to God Alone, Grace Alone.
In conjunction with this, we will look at some of the people who interacted with Martin Luther during the time of the Reformation. We will see how these people helped Luther form his small and large catechism as we continue to celebrate and live out our rich Lutheran heritage together for the last 500 years.
On Sundays during the Adult Forum between services at 9:15am, we’ll be exploring each of the “solas” that we’re discussing on Wednesdays by looking at the history and the present understanding, and exploring how to determine what this will look like in the future as we continue to live out these statements as the body of Christ.
Week1 – Word Alone – Wednesday, February 21 – Sunday, February  18
Week 2 – Faith Alone – Wednesday, February 28 – Sunday, February 25
Week 3 – Christ Alone – Wednesday, March 7 – Sunday, March 4
Week 4 – Glory to God Alone – Wednesday, March 14  – Sunday, March 11
Week 5 – Grace Alone – Wednesday, March 21 – Sunday, March 18
