Sharing of your financial resources helps Lord of Love realize our mission to share God’s word as a welcoming community of faith. Your faithful stewardship and financial giving help support our ongoing ministries including Sunday Worship, Faith Formation, fellowship, building maintenance, and many more activities.
Lord of Love supports a variety of ways to make your financial gift to our ongoing ministries and mission activities. These include:
– Envelope or Cash giving as part of your attendance at Sunday worship.
NOTE – We use a service to automatically provide envelopes to our members who do not participate in other regular giving programs. If you are receiving envelopes but no longer wish to have them sent to you, please contact the church office.
– Bank bill paying service for ongoing and one-time gifts. Just establish Lord of Love Lutheran Church as one of your payees and schedule the gift(s). These donations have no services fees paid by Lord of Love.
– Simply Giving program for regular, ongoing giving. NOTE – this is the most economical automatic giving method (other than a regular payment from your bank) for the congregation.
– Gifts mailed directly to the church office at 10405 Fort St, Omaha, NE 68134. Please send a check with notation of type of gift. Never send cash through the mail.
– Vanco Mobile Faith Engagement – Smartphone giving app – downloadable via your app store.
NOTE – Credit Card giving has the highest fees. Giving from your bank account has reduced fees.
How to begin using Vanco Mobile:
– get the Vanco Mobile Faith Engagement app from the Apple App or Google Play stores
– search for Lord of Love Lutheran – 2 entries may be listed, pick the one with our logo.
– Create your Vanco account and Sign in to the Vanco Mobile app
– make a one-time gift from any registered financial accounts – OR – set-up/manage recurring gifts
– donations from your bank account have the lowest service charge which means more of your gift goes towards our mission
– please consider adjusting the amount of your gift to cover any service charges that apply to your gift

Are you 70½ or older and have an IRA?
If you are then Qualified Charitable Donations (QCDs) provide a great opportunity to reduce your tax liability while supporting Lord of Love. Eligible persons can transfer funds directly from their IRA to a charity tax-free each year. Be sure to ask your financial advisor or IRA administrator about how to utilize this option for your contributions to Lord of Love.
Additionally, QCDs can be a part of your annual Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) if you are 73 or older.
We encourage you to talk to your financial advisor and/or tax specialist to ensure that you understand and follow the rules for this important charitable giving option.

Did you know?
Checking accounts have the lowest fee for online giving of approximately 45 cents and 1% of your donation. Credit cards have the highest fee.
You can avoid fees paid by the church by sending your gift directly from your bank account using your bank’s online bill paying service. Or, just drop your check in the offering plate before or after worship.
