In this Together in Advent series, we celebrate together as the family of God the coming of his Son for our salvation. Each week focuses on a different activity for our “to-do list” that is centered on giving and sharing instead of on materialism.

Our theme verse: “Save us, O Lord our God, and gather us from among the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in your praise.” – Psalm 106:47

Midweek Advent Worship
We gather each Wednesday in Advent.
5:15-6:30PM – Midweek meal and fellowship
7:00PM – Worship using the Holden Evening Prayer setting
December 2:  Be Present: Instead of spending all our time in Advent buying presents, we in God’s family set aside space to be present for one another, as Christ is coming to be present with us. Theme scripture: Malachi 3:1-7
December 9:  Send Peace: Beyond sending cards to loved ones this Advent season, we do all we can as the family of God to send peace to one another because the Prince of Peace is on
his way. Theme scripture: Micah 5:2-5a
December 16: Share Joy: In this time when we share cookies and other treats with one another, we share joy with those around us that they might taste and see that the Lord is good to us through the birth of his Son. Theme scripture: Zephaniah3:14-20
December 23: Wrap in Love: In this season of hustle and bustle, we move from wrapping presents to wrapping people in love, as Mary wrapped the Christ Child so lovingly in swaddling clothes. Theme scripture: 1 John 4:7-12

Advent and Christmas Special Offerings are split evenly between Least of My Brethren and Doctor’s Without Borders.

Sunday Advent Worship
At our Sunday Advent worship services we light four candles that focus our thoughts around these key themes: Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love.
Hope rooted in faith inspires believers to look beyond our immediate circumstances and trust God’s faithfulness to his promises.
God gives us the gift of peace which is rooted in the coming of Christ.
True joy provides comfort and strength even in times of struggle.
We are called to do what Christ does, love.

Sunday, December 13th is our INTERGENERATIONAL CHRISTMAS PROGRAM. All are invited to participate. As you come in for worship, pick up a prop to play a part in the nativity scene. The worship bulletin lets you know when to join the scene. Don’t worry, all the speaking parts are already covered.
