2023 Nebraska Synod Assembly Report
The theme for this year’s assembly, as well as for the whole synod for June, 2023-May, 2024 is “Go, and…” Bishop Johnson and the guest speakers, Rev. Maristela Freiberg; and Rev. Christopher Otten, all focused on this theme. Each month, there is a focus or action to complete the “Go, and…” starting with “Pray” this month. 2022
Pastor Becky and Brian and Deb Lund represented Lord of Love as voting members at the Nebraska Synod Assembly in Kearney from June 2nd thru June 4th. The Theme for the Assembly was “Let Your Light Shine”.
Highlights from the Assembly: Electing the Rev. Scott Johnson, current campus pastor at Midland University, as the next Bishop of the Nebraska Synod; awesome opening worship, great keynote speeches, elections for other Synod offices, Bishop Brian Maas’s final report on the state of our synod.
